My Blog

I'm Terri. And I love words. I like to put them together and weave stories with them. And I'm much more comfortable doing so on paper (or computer screen) than in person. But I've always been nervous about sharing my writing with people so even though I've dabbled with the idea of a blog for years, I've never been brave enough to actually do it.

So why am I suddenly brave? Well, I guess it's being diagnosed with breast cancer. I've always used writing as a way to process life-altering events, and you don't get much more life-altering than staring down the barrel at a cancer diagnosis. No, I'm not being morbid - I have no intention of letting the Intruder steal my life away. And so this will be my space to record my journey.  NOT my breast cancer journey, but my journey through a life filled with precious people, fun adventures and a lot of laughter.

So what do you need to know about me? I guess the basics ... 

I love my three amazing kiddos. They are my joy and my greatest achievement. 

I love my best friend and husband.

I love Jesus.

I love to travel. Pretty much anywhere, any time. 2020 has been rough in many ways, but the worst part has been not being able to take our Epic Adventures.

I love road trips, especially across wide open spaces. There's nothing quite like hitting the open road with a destination in mind but no urgent timeline and no specific route needing to be followed. Letting my mood dictate my stops and detours. Listening to "rad tunes" (to steal my daughter's expression), feeling the wind in my hair, smelling the fresh air. And most of all, soaking up and reveling in the sheer beauty of the landscape.

Won't you join me? The passenger seat is nice and comfy, so buckle up and let's go for a ride. There's so much just waiting to be discovered.
